Mumbai : The Bala actress puts Cleopatra to shame bringing back the fad of creating cosmetics at home. In her recent social media post, she can be seen making full use of her time at home during the lockdown. Yami can be seen in an innovative mode and nostalgic zone, where she recalls that she has learned the art of making kajal (kohl) at home, the way her grandma used to do make it.
She captioned her kohl eye, minimal makeup picture with the memory back in childhood with “Having patiently observed my Naani as she would make ‘Kaajal’ at home for us girls, whenever we would visit her during summer holidays have left me with some really sweet memories- the fresh scent of the burnt oil wick, smeared with Ghar-ka ghee & then stuffing it in a small antique container, which I still possess,” Yami further wrote. “Finally, made ‘kajal’ myself today & the feeling took me back to those innocent & much-treasured memory lanes,”.
Yami Gautam was last seen in the comedy movie Bala, and will next be playing the lead in the upcoming romantic comedy film in Ginny Weds Sunny starring Vikrant Massey opposite her. It will be directed by debutant Puneet Khanna and produced by Vinod Bachchan to be released on Netflix.
However, Yami Gautam who was last seen in Uri: The Surgical Strike is all set for her forthcoming film ‘Ginny weds Sunny’. The actress will be seen playing a Delhi girl didn’t want to follow the stereotypical way of depicting Dilliwallas. To keep the character subtle and real, she has been going around the Delhi markets along with the stylist of the film to find different looks for her character.
As Yami’s character Ginny belongs to current generation her dressing needs to reflect it as well. The stylist is curating diverse looks with Yami’s inputs. The actress says, `My stylist and I wanted to give a refreshing look to Ginny. The brief given to us is that her personality should reflect in her clothes. I wanted to refrain from following the cliches of styling such a character. The part resonated so much with me that I wanted her to look unique. We have used a lot of colours to bring out her vibrant personality and also found some quirky jewellery that blends well with the character.`
