Russian President Putin, Nepal PM Oli greet PM Modi on his 70th birthday

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi turns 70 today and birthday wishes pour in from leaders across all political parties. From Union home Minister Amit Shah, defence minister Rajnath Singh, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and minister of civil aviation of India Hardeep Singh Puri among others wished the PM on the occasion.
PM Modi was born in Gujarat’s Vadnagar on September 17, 1950.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal prayed for PM Modi’s long and healthy life. “Narendra Modi wishing you a very happy birthday sir. I pray for your long and healthy life,” said Kejriwal on Twitter.
Union Minister Piyush Goyal extended his wishes to Prime Minister Modi on the occasion and said that work done by the PM, especially during the COVID-19 crisis phase, showed his far-sightedness. “Best wishes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is committed to the service of the country and has made India prestigious as a global power. Even during this COVID phase, the work done by you in making the country Atmanirbhar shows your far-sightedness,” Goyal said.
Bharatiya Janata Party MP Arun Singh flagged off a cycle rally in New Delhi on the occasion of PM Narendra Modi’s 70th birthday.
Russian President Vladimir Putin extended birthday wishes to PM Modi. “I look forward to continue constructive dialogue with you and work closely together on topical issues of the bilateral and international agenda,” President Putin said.

Nepal Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli extends greetings to PM Modi on the latters 70th Birthday. Oli said, “Warm greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji on the auspicious occasion of your birthday. I wish you good health and happiness. We will continue working closely together to further strengthen relations between our two countries.”
Minister Hardeep Singh Puri wished PM Modi on the latters 70th Bithday today. Puri tweeted, “I join the nation in wishing India’s popular and visionary PM Narendra Modi ji on his 70th birthday. A steadfast leader with immense clarity, he has brought about a transformational change in the lives of Indians through his policies of inclusive and sustainable development.”

Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) workers celebrated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 70th birthday at India Gate on Wednesday. Party leader Shyam Jaju was also present.
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla wished PM Modi saying, “Happy Birthday to the Honorable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi. Dedicated to the resolve of service, your life inspires everyone for the welfare of humanity and service to the nation. I wish to God for your healthy life and longevity.”
President Ram Nath Kovind wishes PM Modi via Twitter, he wrote: “Prime Minister Modi, Happy birthday and best wishes to you… My best wishes and prayers are that God always keep you healthy and happy and the nation continues to receive your invaluable services.”
As Prime Minister Narendra Modi turns 70 on Thursday (September 17, 2020), the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has planned an entire week of celebrations.
Since 2014, the BJP has been celebrating PM Modi’s birthday week as ‘seva saptah’. This year, the ‘seva saptah’ starts from September 14 and will continue till September 20.
As part of this ‘weekly’ celebration, the party will organise tree plantation and blood donation camps in 70 places at every district across the country.
The ‘seva saptah’ was kickstarted by BJP chief JP Nadda from Chhaprauli village in Uttar Pradesh’s Gautam Budh Nagar.
Several social initiatives are being undertaken by the party leaders and workers across the country.
Several other plans have been made which includes distributing sewing machines, e-rickshaws and food items to Hindu refugees from Pakistan at Majlis Park Camp, Adarsh ??Nagar, New Delhi.
Union Ministers Giriraj Singh, Dr. Jitendra Singh and MP Manoj Tiwari will partake in the ceremony which has been organised in collaboration with various social organizations.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers in Tamil Nadu`s Coimbatore offered a 70-kilogram laddu to Lord Shiva at Sivan Kamatchi Amman Temple, and distributed it amongst the people.
While the Hindu Sena, on occasion of PM Modi’s 70th Birthday, is organising a hawan program at Shiv Shakti Mandir, Rajendra Prasad Road, New Delhi at 10:30 am, followed by cake cutting at 11am.
