Kulraj Randhawa makes her digital debut with London Confidential on ZEE5

Mumbai : Actress Kulraj Randhawa plays the role of the Indian Ambassador (Nirupama) to the United Kingdom, in the spy thriller film London Confidential, streaming on Zee5. The espionage thriller is the first Indian mainstream film to be shot and released during the Coronavirus pandemic. Viewers get a peek into what a post-Covid world would look like and the anxieties attached with the threat of another pandemic from China.
Kulraj who has been previously seen in bubbly roles, gives a noteworthy performance of being an IFS officer posted in London, who specialises in her dealings of diplomatic conflicts and crises.
Marking her debut on the digital OTT platform, the talented actress said, ‘Kanwal Sethi, the director, is a big reason why I agreed to do this film. My character in the film is in a space that I have not really ventured before. It was fun to work with Mouni and Purab. We had a great time shooting the film and took a lot of care sanitizing everything. This is the first time I have worked on a film for the OTT platform. Digital is game changer. I am currently reading more scripts and I look forward to act in some good stories via films and web-series’.
The film stars Kulraj Randhawa, Mouni Roy, Purab Kohli, and Pravessh Rana in pivotal roles.
She is just three films old in the industry but actress Kulraj Randhawa says she is very conscious about the films she selects and doesn’t want to do everything that comes her way.
The 28-year-old, who is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film ‘Chaar Din Ki Chandni’ opposite Tusshar Kapoor, however, said she doesn’t mind doing an item number in a film.
“I am new in the industry and so have to be very choosy about what I do. I can’t just do any kind of role in a film. I have to be very clear with what I do as it will affect my future in Bollywood. I got a lot of A-list film offers after my first film ‘Chintuji’ but they were all supporting roles. I want to do main leads and not just a supporting role, ” Kulraj. ‘
Chaar Din Ki Chandni’ is a rom-com directed by Samir Karnik. The film will release on March 9. Kulraj is all praises for her co-star Tusshar and feels lucky to have got the opportunity to work with him.
“Tushhar is a great guy and I am lucky to have him as my co-star. It is very great of him to have agreed to work with a new comer. He is a very hardworking guy and doesn’t have those starry tantrums about him. He is not like other star kids, ” she said. The actress started her career in showbiz with popular TV series
‘Kareena Kareena’ and grabbed her first Bollywood project ‘Chintuji’ in 2009 opposite Priyanshu Chatterjee and Rishi Kapoor. She was last seen in multi-starrer ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’ along with Dharmendra, Bobby Deol and Sunny Deol.
